My first timer ASL at Gallaudet University
152 Views          05/04/09
When i was little, i always used to sign basic in English Sign Language(ESL)all in my life. Fortunately, some of my hearing friends reccommend me to check out the Gallaudet University on internet. I never heard of it but this University has world's largest deaf and hard of hearing college. one day, im interesting to enroll there and become student. When i was on-campus, i was shocked because i haven't realize that many deaf use their ASL unfortunately, i hasn't learned my ASL yet. The funny things that one deaf guy come toward me using his advance ASL but i was so miscommuniciated and able not understand what he says. lol, Anyways, i finally took a ASL class to learn the basic to moderate. For the next few weeks, i started to improved my ASL skills because i socialize with deaf everyday to help me to understand them. Right now, I am quick learner and finally learning ASL for one year. Its was good experience for me.
